Video Gear Guide is a curated directory of the kit worth buying: cameras, lenses, lighting, audio and the accessories that hold it all together. Everything is sorted by what you are actually shooting rather than by manufacturer, so you can start from the work and finish with the gear.
Nothing here is listed from a spec sheet. Gear is used before it is written about, and a review says what a piece is genuinely good at and where it stops being worth the money.
Every piece of gear sits in a category and a price tier, so you can browse by what you are building or by what you are willing to spend. The categories are the fastest way in, and the ranked guides are there for when you want the shortlist rather than the full shelf.
The guide earns affiliate commissions on some of the gear it recommends, including as an Amazon Associate. That never decides what gets listed or how it is ranked, and every affiliate relationship is disclosed.
Video Gear Guide is built by Navid Moazzez, who has worked in the creator economy since 2013 and hosted his first virtual summit in 2014. He uses the gear, writes the reviews and decides what earns a place here.
The guide is one of several properties run by NM Media, alongside AI Tools Library and the AI OS work at AI OS Workshop.
